Movie productions, media
outlets and other sources continue to proclaim the world is going to
end on December 21, 2012. The speculation stems from the end of
the long Mayan calendar, which concludes on December 21, 2012. Do
the Mayan’s know something we don’t? Besides the fact
that the speculation is unwarranted and a means for some to make money,
the Bible reveals all there is to know about the time of the end.
Notice the following…
There Will Be An End. Peter penned, “the heavens will pass
away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat;
both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up” (2
Pt. 3:10). John stated, “And the world is passing
away” (1 Jn. 2:17). The Bible affirms there will be an end
and men will stand in judgment (Heb. 9:27; 2 Cor. 5:10).
When Will It Be? Jesus said, “But of that day and hour no
one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only”
(Mt. 24:36). Peter said, “But the day of the Lord will come
as a thief in the night…” (2 Pt. 3:10). The Mayans,
Jehovah Witnesses, nor anyone of us knows when the end will be.
Many predictions have been made, but to no avail.
It’s almost certain that the end of the world will not happen on
December 21, 2012 as no one knows the day or hour. Because the
time of the end is unknown, we must be prepared at all times!
