Lessons
Learned From Genesis 1:1
|
The Bible opens with
these familiar words, “In the beginning God created the heavens
and the earth.” From this text we learn the following:
There Is A God.
The Bible affirms from the very beginning that there is a God as
“In the beginning God…” The fourth word of the Bible
is God. Throughout the pages of inspiration God is upheld as being
alive and real. The Bible does not necessarily go to any great length
to prove that God exist, but that by faith we “…believe
that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek
Him” (Heb. 11:6). There is internal evidence of God that is
evidence found in the Bible and there external evidence that is
evidence found outside the Bible. Internal evidence includes such
things as the harmony of the Bible, the message told and information
revealed. External evidence includes such things as the sun, moon,
stars, man and all that goes with them.
The Heavens And The Earth Were
Created.
Despite what evolutionist and modernist teach regarding the origination
of this present world, “In the beginning God created the heavens
and earth.” The Psalmist declared, “I will praise You, for
I am fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14). A reading of
Hebrews 11:3 reveals, “By faith we understand that the worlds
were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were
not made of things which are visible.” We need more folks to
discard the theories and ideas of men and follow wholly the word of God.
